ATHENE is a group of women graduates, from different disciplines, backgrounds and interests, who share a wish to contribute to the life and thought of our community in an active way. From September to April each year we organise a series of talks that are open to the public. For members there are meetings in members’ homes, a book group and visits to places of interest.
Full membership is £15 and is open to all women who have a degree or equivalent.
Visitors are welcome to the monthly talks at the Friends Meeting House, Hampton Road, Redland, Bristol BS6 6JE, on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. There is a charge of £2, which includes refreshments, and you can stock up on second-hand books which are sold to raise money for Camfed, a charity supporting girls’ education in Africa.
